The profile stays on your phone; the plan is what expires. So yes, you can reuse it — you just add a new plan to the same profile rather than installing a new eSIM.
This is why deleting the profile between trips is a mistake. A QR code can normally be installed only once, so removing it means the code is spent and you cannot reinstall. If you will not use the line for a while, switch it off in Settings instead of deleting it.
The same logic applies to coverage: if your next trip is to a different country, top up with a plan that covers that country on the profile you already have.
