Before you start
- Check your exact phone model and purchase region for eSIM support, and make sure the phone is unlocked for other networks. Not every phone or regional model supports eSIM.
- Installation and the start of package validity are not always the same. Some packages start on installation; others start when they connect to a supported network. Read your package details before installing.
- Keep a reliable Wi-Fi or mobile internet connection during installation. Have your delivery email or the eSIM details in your account ready.
Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service / Mobile Data, depending on your region).
Tap Add eSIM, then choose Use QR Code. Keep your internet connection on.
Scan the QR code from another screen or a printed copy. For manual setup, choose Enter Details Manually and copy the SM-DP+ address and activation code exactly from your order.
Follow the prompts and give the plan a recognisable label, such as Cellesim. Installing the profile does not prove that the data connection is working yet.
When you are ready to use the package, select Cellesim under Cellular Data. Apply the roaming setting shown in your package instructions. Keep Allow Cellular Data Switching off if you want to avoid using your main SIM for data.

Samsung: Settings → Connections → SIM manager. Pixel: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs. Other Android phones may use different menu names.
Samsung: tap Add eSIM. Pixel: choose Add SIM → Set up an eSIM. The exact wording depends on the Android version.
Scan the QR code from another screen. If your phone offers a photo import option, you can use the saved QR image. Otherwise choose the manual entry option and copy the installation details from your order.
Follow the confirmation prompts and wait for the download to finish. Label the profile Cellesim so you can distinguish it from your main SIM.
Select Cellesim for mobile data when you want to use the package. Apply the package roaming instructions. Leave automatic data switching off if you want to avoid data use on your main SIM.

If the QR code is on this phone
On iOS 17.4 or later, try the installation link in your delivery email. In a supported email app or browser, you can also press and hold the QR code and choose Add eSIM. If the option is unavailable, use another screen for the QR code or enter the details manually.
On Android, try the Android installation link in the delivery email if supported. A saved QR image can be imported on some devices. If neither option appears, use the manual setup details or show the QR code on another screen.
Check that mobile data works
At your destination, turn off Wi-Fi and try opening a web page. If it does not load, check that the Cellesim eSIM is enabled, selected for mobile data and has the roaming setting required by the package. Enter an APN only when your eSIM details specify one.

Do not delete the eSIM while troubleshooting. Reinstallation and moving a profile to another phone depend on the package. Contact support with your order number and phone model; never share the activation code or QR publicly.
