What travelers buy: plan sizes

Nearly two-thirds of travelers (63%) buy a plan of 5 GB or less. Only 11% buy more than 10 GB, and just 12% opt for unlimited.

The takeaway for travelers

If the typical traveler is happy with 3 GB for a multi-week trip, most people are overpaying for data they never use — whether through oversized plans or carrier roaming. Estimate ~1 GB per day for balanced use and buy accordingly.
