No. This is the second-biggest trap. Although Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory, it is NOT part of the UK. Most UK carriers (especially post-Brexit) have excluded it from their free-roaming zones and will charge you an expensive "Day Pass" (£2-£6) or pay-per-MB rate.  Yes. The border queue to cross La Línea can be very long; having active data is essential to stay entertained or check live border wait times online. 

 Yes. You will generally have strong 4G signal in the Bay of Gibraltar to share videos of the wild dolphins, though connection drops further out at sea.
