You will have a strong 4G/5G signal at the Piton de la Fournaise (volcano) viewpoint and in the main villages of the "Cirques" (like Cilaos). However, once you go deep into a remote hike, you will lose signal. It is perfect for navigation to the hikes, but not during the entire trek.
