How to verify eSIM support on your device

1. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → look for "Add eSIM" or "Add Cellular Plan". You can also dial *#06# , if you see an "EID" (32-digit number), your phone has eSIM hardware.
2. Android: Settings → Connections (or Network & Internet) → SIM Cards → look for "Download a SIM instead" or "Add eSIM".
3. EID check: most eSIM-capable Android phones show EID in Settings → About Phone → Status.

Yes, but with limitations. Namibia is vast and sparsely populated.  Yes. You will generally have strong signal near the town of Lüderitz and the famous Kolmanskop ghost town, allowing you to instantly share photos of the abandoned houses filled with sand. 

 Coverage is reliable in coastal towns like Swakopmund and Henties Bay, but expect the signal to disappear completely as you drive north into the desolate Skeleton Coast National Park to see the shipwrecks. 

 You will have signal at the Hobas viewpoint and the resorts on the canyon rim, but coverage is non-existent once you descend into the canyon for the multi-day hike along the Fish River.
