About Europe eSIM

Europe eSIM: Travel Data Plans and Trip Guide

Compare regional Europe eSIM plans against your exact itinerary. Check included countries, shared data, validity and border crossings before buying.

Current plans start from $4.49. This is the total price of the lowest-priced available package, not a daily rate or the price of every data allowance.

Build the country list before choosing the package

For a Paris–Amsterdam–Berlin trip, check France, the Netherlands and Germany in the selected package. Add every extra stop separately: the UK, Switzerland, Turkey and the Balkans must not be assumed from the word Europe. Different regional products can have different coverage lists. The countries shown in the selected plan, rather than a fixed number in a travel article, determine what you buy.

One shared allowance across the itinerary

Check whether the data allowance is shared across all included destinations and when its validity starts. A 14-day journey through four countries does not give you a fresh allowance or restart the clock at every border unless the package explicitly says so. Compare existing EU/EEA roaming benefits before adding a travel plan. Ship and aircraft connectivity can use separate networks and should not be assumed to be included.

How much data for 7 or 14 days?

Planning examples, not measured usage averages: multiply your own daily allowance by the number of travel days, then add a buffer. The examples below are calculations, not packages offered for sale.

Assumed daily use7 days14 days
0.5 GB/day3.5 GB7 GB
1 GB/day7 GB14 GB

Choose a package with enough data and validity for the full trip. A 7-day package will not cover a 14-day stay even if it has data left. Add laptop sharing, video calls and cloud backups separately; review hotspot rules and any fair-use speed limits.

Before departure and after landing

  1. Check the exact phone model and regional version for eSIM support and carrier unlocking.
  2. Read the selected package’s activation rule before installing over a stable internet connection. Installation and the start of validity may be different.
  3. On arrival, select the travel eSIM for mobile data and follow its roaming/APN instructions. Turn off data roaming and automatic data switching on the home line.

A travel data package does not automatically include a local phone number, voice calls or SMS. Keeping your home line active can still incur its own charges. Check these separately if you need banking texts or conventional calls.
